What does pelvic floor physiotherapy treatment consist of?
It will combine the treatment of their own physiotherapy sessions (manual therapy and specific machinery), with the patient carrying out exercises both in the surgery and at home. These exercises will be indicated and explained by the physiotherapist, with the aim of doing them correctly in order to maximise the benefits. In short, it consists of alleviating the pain, lowering the tone of those muscles that are in excess and strengthening the muscles of the pelvic floor that need it.
- Instrumentally: with Biofeedback, dilators, vibrators, Epi- no, Diathermisa, Sis, Indiba (radiofrequency), etc..
- Manual therapy: Myofascial techniques, active manual therapy, muscle stretching, perineal massage.
